Terms of use
These terms cover your use of ToolsBay and the four tool sites published under it. They are deliberately short, because the service is simple: free tools, no account, and almost nothing sent to us. The parts worth reading properly are that the calculators give you information rather than professional advice, and that the tools are provided as they are with no warranty attached. Using the site means accepting what follows. If you do not accept it, the remedy is to stop using the site, which costs you nothing since there is no subscription to cancel.
What is provided
ToolsBay provides free web-based tools published at toolsbay.app and its subdomains. No account is required and no fee is charged. Tools may be added, changed or removed at any time without notice, and there is no guarantee of availability or of any particular level of uptime.
Almost all processing happens in your browser. A small, individually labelled set of PDF conversions runs on a server; those files are processed in memory and discarded once the result is returned, as described in the privacy policy.
Information, not professional advice
The calculators — including the salary, tax, statutory contribution, health and financial ones — produce estimates for general information. They are not tax advice, financial advice, medical advice, legal advice or a substitute for a qualified professional, and they are not endorsed by any tax authority or government agency.
Rates, thresholds and formulas change, and no calculator can account for every individual circumstance. Before acting on a result — filing a return, setting payroll, making a financial decision, or drawing any conclusion about your health — verify it against the relevant authority or a qualified adviser. How we build and check things sets out the sources used and how current they are.
Your files and your responsibility
You are responsible for the files and data you process, and for having the right to process them. Keep your own copies: because files are handled in your browser and not stored, a result that is lost, closed or corrupted cannot be recovered by us — we never had it.
Do not use the tools to process material you are not entitled to, to infringe anyone's rights, to break any applicable law, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service. Automated or bulk use that degrades the service for others is not permitted.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. No guarantee is made that any tool is error-free, that output is accurate or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolsBay and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including any decision made in reliance on a calculator result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property, advertising and changes
The site's design, text and code belong to its operator. You keep all rights to the files and data you process; nothing you put into a tool is claimed, and for the client-side tools nothing is received in the first place.
The site carries third-party advertising. Ads and any sites they lead to are not controlled or endorsed here, and are subject to the advertiser's and the ad network's own terms. Links to other sites are provided for reference and imply no endorsement.
These terms may be updated; the date below shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means accepting the revised terms. They are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Questions go to hello@toolsbay.app.
