Privacy Policy
FullPageScreenshot by Toolsbay collects nothing. It makes zero network requests, has no account or sign-in, and every screenshot you capture is processed, edited and exported entirely on your own device. This page is the extension's complete privacy policy — everything the Chrome Web Store's privacy tab summarises is spelled out below, permission by permission.
The short version
FullPageScreenshot by Toolsbay is built privacy-first: the the screenshots you capture and edit you work with are processed by JavaScript running in your own browser. They are never uploaded, stored, or seen by us — you can load a tool, disconnect from the internet, and it still works.
We do not require accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not sell data — we have none to sell.
What we do not collect
Your files and inputs: everything you type or drop into FullPageScreenshot by Toolsbay stays on your device. We cannot recover, view, or restore anything you process here.
Personal information: there is no sign-up, no login, and no form asking who you are.
What is processed automatically
Hosting logs: this site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are handled under Cloudflare’s privacy policy and are not used by us to identify you.
Local storage: if a tool remembers a preference (like a chosen setting), it is saved in your browser’s localStorage only. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Permissions, and exactly what each one is for
Chrome extensions request permissions individually, and each one below maps to a single visible feature — there are no broad host permissions and nothing runs outside the tab you invoke it on.
activeTab — Grants access to the current tab only, and only after you click the toolbar icon or press a capture shortcut — never in the background, and never on tabs you haven't invoked it on.
scripting — Injects the capture driver (for scrolling and frame timing) and the selection overlay (for Select Area / Select Element) into the page, only when a capture starts.
storage — Holds your editor preferences — last-used background, mockup and export settings — in your browser's local extension storage. Never synced anywhere off-device.
unlimitedStorage — Removes the default storage cap so a Full Page capture's intermediate frames can be held locally while a tall page is stitched together, without hitting a size limit partway through.
downloads — Lets the extension save your PNG, JPEG and PDF exports to your Downloads folder when you click Export.
clipboardWrite — Powers the Copy to Clipboard button, so an edited screenshot can be pasted directly into another app.
No permission here reaches the network, reads other tabs, or runs in the background without your action. The extension does not request host permissions for any site.
About the advertising note below
The extension itself contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind — the section below is a disclosure about this webpage (toolsbay.app/screenshot/privacy), which is hosted the same way as the rest of the ToolsBay site and may carry a display ad, not about anything the extension does on your device.
Advertising
This site is free because it may show advertising. If ads are displayed, they are served by a third-party network (such as Google AdSense) which may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy, and you can opt out of personalised advertising in your ad settings. Ad networks never receive the content you process with the tools — that stays in your browser.
Changes and contact
This policy was last updated on 2026-07-29. If the way FullPageScreenshot by Toolsbay handles data ever changes, this page will change first — and the privacy-first rule above is the product’s core promise, not a temporary policy.
